Nan & Matt have been writing songs as Schwervon! since 1999, soon after they met and fell in love amidst the fertile gutters of NYC. They have been likened to both Sonny & Cher and the Pixies, and are DIY to the hilt, mixing and recording the bulk of their records in their cramped Lower East Side apartment - which they have converted into a center for underground music production and online distribution called Olive Juice Music. Together they have released two albums (Quick Frozen Small Yellow Cracker, Poseur) on Olive Juice and in the UK on Teenage Fanclub Drummer Francis MacDonald's label Shoeshine Records. Their third LP, I Dream of Teeth, is released on both Olive Juice and Berlin Label Haute Areal.Schwervon! have toured the East Coast, UK and Europe several times, sharing stages with Kimya Dawson (moldy peaches), Jeffrey Lewis, EssexGreen, Trachtenberg Family Slide Show Players and Dufus.
Death of my Enemies
A Toby Goodshank song, covered by Schwervon!
Toby and Schwervon! went on a tour to europe together in 2006 and this song was part of a Tour EP (all profits from the EP went into the gas tank of their tour van!), which was recorded at Olive Juice Studios in NYC.
Toby and Schwervon! covered 2 songs by each other & they also did one collaboration together. This EP's collaboration includes another cover - The Clash's "Clampdown".
